Privacy Policy

The App processes only the limited account information needed to authenticate authorized users. It sends the coordinates of course gates to innove SA’s servers but does not send a skier’s position, route, or performance data. No data is used for advertising, tracking, or profiling.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the alpine ski course measurement mobile application provided by innove SA (the “App”). It describes how information is handled when you use the App.

2. Account access and personal data

The App is restricted to authorized users. Accounts are created or approved manually by innove SA or by an authorized administrator; the App does not offer public self-registration.

To provide and manage access, innove SA processes:

• the identifier assigned to the account, such as a username or business email address;
• authentication credentials;
• the user’s access role and authorization status; and
• limited security records, such as successful or failed login events, needed to protect the service.

This information is used only to:

• authenticate the user and provide access to the App;
• administer, approve, suspend, or revoke access;
• maintain the security and integrity of the App; and
• provide technical support when requested.

Except for this limited account and security information, the App does not:

• collect telephone numbers, contacts, photos, or financial information;
• collect health or fitness data;
• collect advertising identifiers or use data for analytics or profiling;
• track users across apps or websites; or
• display advertising.

3. Course measurement data and device permissions

The App uses the device’s location/GNSS functionality solely to record the geographic position of each gate in an alpine ski course. Only the gate coordinates selected by the authorized user are transmitted to innove SA’s servers so that the course can be recorded, stored, managed, and made available through the service.

The transmitted coordinates describe the fixed position of course gates, not the position or movement of a skier or other individual. The App does not transmit continuous device location, create a user location history, or collect athlete trajectory, performance, health, or fitness data. Gate coordinates are used only for course measurement and management and are not used to identify, track, profile, or advertise to any individual.

4. Legal basis

innove SA processes account and authentication information because it is necessary to provide the service to authorized users and to protect the App and its systems. Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies, this processing is based on the performance of a contract or steps taken at the user’s or customer’s request, and on innove SA’s legitimate interest in managing access and maintaining service security.

5. Storage, security, and third parties

Account information and course gate coordinates are stored on systems operated for innove SA in Switzerland. innove SA applies appropriate technical and organizational safeguards designed to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or loss.

innove SA does not sell personal data. The App does not include advertising, tracking, or analytics services that collect personal data. Account information is disclosed only to service providers that support secure operation of the service, where necessary, and subject to appropriate data protection obligations, or where disclosure is required by law.

6. Data retention and account deletion

Account information is retained while the account remains authorized and for the limited period thereafter needed to close the account, protect the service, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. Security records are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes. Course gate coordinates are retained while they are needed to provide the course measurement and management service or until the relevant course or customer data is deleted.

A user may request deactivation and deletion of an account by contacting innove SA at info@innove.ch. Where an account is managed by the user’s organization, the request may also be made through that organization’s administrator. innove SA will delete or anonymize the relevant personal data unless retention is required by law or remains necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.

A request to delete stored course data may be sent to info@innove.ch. Course measurements stored locally can also be removed using the App’s available deletion functions or by deleting the App from the device.

7. User rights and choices

Subject to applicable law, users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data, and may have additional rights to restrict or object to processing or to receive a portable copy. Requests may be sent to info@innove.ch. innove SA may need to verify the requester’s identity before acting on a request.

Device permissions can be changed at any time through the device settings. Disabling a permission required for course measurement may prevent the corresponding feature from working.

8. Children’s privacy

The App is intended for individually authorized users and does not offer public registration. innove SA does not knowingly create accounts for children without the involvement of an authorized organization or, where required, a parent or legal guardian.

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if the App’s functionality or applicable legal requirements change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. If a future version of the App collects personal data, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures will be updated before that collection begins.
